Faces: Paintings and Mixed Media
Barbara's impressionist painting style merges the vivid color of acrylic paint with a variety of media to create active, colorful and vibrant contrasts that capture the interest and curiosity of her audience to explore her technique. The faces she paints reflect the satisfaction she experiences in boldly painting her subjects. Her Cherokee heritage has influenced some of these works. She enjoys observing people and their relations with each other. Each face tells a story. God created each of us uniquely, not only in who we are, but in how we relate to and influence others. She paints the richness and experience of life that she sees in others.
